Blue Faced Leicester BFL Top (3 colors)
Developed in the Northumberland region of England in the late 1800s to early 1900s, the Blue Faced Leicester (BFL) longwool breed is one of three Leicester sheep breeds: the English Leicester Longwool, the Border Leicester, and the Bluefaced Leicester (BFL). BFL is the finest and softest of all longwool breeds. It is also known by the name Hexham Leicester.
BFL is noted for its silky soft handle and luster. It has a longer staple length making it ideal for blending with mohair. A popular blend of BFL:Mohair is 60:40 or 70:30. Our BFL is in top form.
Grown in the UK.
